Director, Category Management:

  • Serve as primary lead for the development of best of class account category plans, best practice applications, & tools. 
  • Develop best of class information based selling recommendations and presentations to assist Sales and Key Accounts.
  • Interact with CSM's, CS Merchandisers, and retail accounts to deliver category and space management solutions. 
  • Lead the strategic and tactical development of best of class Category/Space Management processes for R.A. Jeffreys. 
  • Manage day to day activities of direct reports and their project work. 
  • Lead planning and execution of shelf reset process with all chain and independent retailers with in prescribed timelines.   
  • Manage department budgets, and training initiatives. 
  • Increase value of CM and view of R.A .Jeffreys CM practices among retail partners. 
  • Champion syndicated data at R.A. Jeffreys
  • Special projects assigned by management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in business/marketing is strongly desired.
  • Must have previous experience with consumer packed goods sales, marketing, or syndicated research.
  • A strong knowledge of the retail environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with all types of data, presenting to retail customers, and computer proficiency.
  • Strong background in category management tools, processes, and business consulting.
  • Previous experience using Shelf Merchandising software preferred.
  • Understanding of shopper research and insights, familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures.
  • Excellent follow-up, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
