The RA Jeffreys Craft Brands Manager is responsible for developing the craft brands portfolio through planned sales education programming and specific brand marketing strategies throughout the assigned footprint. They are the primary liaison between the supplier and distributor to continually align and execute annual goals.

 

Job Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)

  • Work with supervisor to develop marketing plans by brewery (volume, distribution, incentives, product launches, point of sale, events, etc. ) based on annual business plans in conjunction with craft brands budget to effectively maximize dollar investment.
  • Communicate product information, brand priorities and overall brewery initiatives to sales teams.
  • Build sales momentum through education based training--brewing process, styles, ingredients, pairings, etc. to prepare sales team to present superior knowledge to craft retailers.
  • Focus 70% on premise and 30% off premise.
  • Work with team leaders to target accounts based on quarterly craft focus through strategic monthly objectives.
  • Conduct and coordinate ride alongs with suppliers, sales team or team leaders to maximize brand knowledge and association with brewery market representatives.
  • Maintain personal call points with top craft accounts.
  • Develop marketing plans through rollout strategies for new breweries.
  • Analyze supplier data and reports for growth opportunities.
  • Work with inventory coordinator to ensure product needed is ordered and/or transferred.
  • Monitor craft inventory in warehouse and in the trade. Work with suppliers and teams for a plan of action for proper rotation, close dated and seasonal inventory (discounts, incentives, market focus) to minimize profit loss.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of major festivals and craft events.
  • Helps sales team plan and execute key retail events such as tap takeovers and beer dinners.
  • Compile weekly craft email to be distributed to the sales team and craft accounts.
  • Input product allocations into Encompass as requested by suppliers.
  • Create and maintain updated craft seasonal slides available for the sales team through Encompass.
  • Execute server trainings as needed by accounts, retailers and sales team.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physical ability to complete all job tasks-repetitive lifting, bending, pulling and pushing, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs continuously, overhead
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule as business dictates
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to utilize and integrate data from various sources, accurately interpret data and appropriately apply findings
  • PC proficiency'Word, Excel, Powerpoint and various corporate programs
  • Exceptional  communication skills, including the ability to give effective formal presentations
  • Proven successful sales and marketing track record
  • Self-motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Progressive thinker capable of thinking outside of established Sales and Marketing methods
  • Ability to present yourself in a professional manner at all times
